Join us for the BabyBrains® Body (BBB) training, designed in partnership with Essex and Birkbeck Universities. PART 1: WORKSHOPS IN PERSON (FREE) Date: 14 October (Birkbeck, London; 10 am - 3 pm) 1. THIS IS ME! THE JOURNEY FROM US TO ME. (10.00 - 11.15) Research on multisensory integration. Theories about the role of the carer-infant relationship. Inspiration for understanding the development of identity and the physiological/emotional regulation of the child. 2. COPY ME COPY YOU! THE JOURNEY TOWARDS STRONG SOCIAL SKILLS (11.30 - 12.45) Research on imitation, maternal wellbeing, infant skill development and emotional wellbeing, techoference. 3. BONDS and the L.O.V.E. of science (13.45 - 15.00) A tailored and hypothesis-driven approach to science. Inspirations for tailored and hypothesis-driven parenting and care. PART 2: ONLINE TRAINING Date: 16 & 17 October (9 am - 1 pm) Online via Zoom. DAY 1: • A bridge between academia and families: Overview and scope of impact for BabyBrains. • Interactive teamwork in 3 groups: explain selected extracts from the BBB Trilogy • Presentation of teamwork: practice of group management and presentation skills. Learning and discussion on BB Body content. DAY 2: • Inspiration and connection: practice in reading papers for parents and carers: identifying awe-inspiring elements and making them shine. For certified trainer: find, process, express the connections between BB Body and BB core modules. • Empowering communication: being aware of the impact of scientific communication on anxiety levels and general experience of the receiver. • Interactive work: identifying the main points for impact in selected papers • Production: Communicating one main point in an impactful way. • Practicalities
